The Way

2025 • 9 tracks

Nine songs written for a generation raised on notifications and short attention spans — Static in My Bones, Mirrors Don't Lie, Offline. This is an album about the exhausting noise of constant connection, and the ancient, radical claim that there is still a Way worth being found by.

Tracks

  • The screen still glows at 2 a.m. Another night I can’t remember Every thought a broken thread Every dream comes undone

I laugh out loud to hide the aim, but silence knows my name And the shadows follow closer, whispering my shame I feel the static in my bones Humming louder in the dark

Every secret keeps me restless Every scar still leaves a mark Static in my bones like turning down Courses in the weeds, they’re so cool all alone

I try to make it right but the sickness always won’t Starting in my bones, been breaking all along I trade my sleep for borrowed hives The quiet pulls me back

Every smile’s a borrowed face Every road fades to black And if I stand before the mirror It just repeats my cries

No filter strong enough to hide the weight behind my eyes

Static in my bones, I turn it down Voices in the wires, they circle all around I try to make it right, but the signal’s always wrong

Static and my bones been breaking all along There’s a code to break, I haven’t found it yet Just echoes of a sentence that I can’t forget

Static in my bones, I turn it down Voices in the wires, they circle all around I try to make it right, but the signal’s always wrong

Static in my bones been breaking all along

  • The glass remembers every truth I tried to bend Front camera catching me, pretending once again Numbers on a glowing screen, a scoreboard for my worth I polish up the surface while I’m sinking in the dirt

I keep rehearsing better lines to sell a cleaner me But all the shine I manufacture never sets me free

Mirrors don’t lie, but they don’t say They show the cracks, I can’t replace They name the eight, they mark the stain But they can’t wash away the blame Mirrors don’t lie, but they don’t say

I scroll for answers, trade my peace for second-hand applause A thousand fixes, none can fix the center of the cause I bargain with my conscience like I’m paying down the loan But every promise that I make just leaves me more alone

I’ve learned the angles, learned the light, learned every hiding place But every time the glass is honest, I can’t bear my face

Mirrors don’t lie, but they don’t say They show the cracks, I can’t replace They name the eight, they mark the stain But they can’t wash away the blame Mirrors don’t lie, but they don’t say

If truth is just reflection, I’ll be stuck with what I am The measure isn’t mercy It can show but can’t redeem Mirrors don’t lie but they don’t say

They draw the lines I can’t erase They tell me why I need a way But they can’t lead me through the gate Mirrors don’t lie, but they don’t say

    Oh, oh, oh

  • I got a pocket full of reason why it isn’t ever me Every headline makes a villain I can point it on my feet If I stack my little alibis, maybe I can pass the test But the weight behind my ribs keeps pressing on my chest

I swear I’m almost innocent until the quiet starts to talk The echo won’t equip me, it just follows when I walk Blame and the burden, I’ve carried both Try to outrun it, put it on my soul

I can’t hide my hands, but I can’t hide the load Blame and the burden, I can’t carry both I’ve thrown a thousand stones online I never felt them in my palm

Found a scapegoat for my failures Tried to pass the ticking bomb But when the mirror lights the room Calls me by my name

There’s no jury left to sway And I can’t shift the blame If justice keeps a ledger Mine is inked in every line

And I’ll do better Can’t erase the stains I left behind The blame and the burden I’ve carried both

Tried to outrun it Put it on my soul I can’t hide my hands, but I can’t hide the low Blame and the burden I can’t carry from

The verdict would be heavy and the sentence would be right But Jesus bore the weight I piled and shouldered it to life The Son of God went under it where I would surely break He stood where I was guilty so the guilty could awake

Blame and the burden I’ve carried both Tried to outrun it, put it on my soul I couldn’t lift the debt, I couldn’t pay what’s sold Jesus took the burden, now He breaks the yoke

Blame and the burden I don’t carry both

  • I kept a ledger no one saw, a running tab inside my chest Every line another loss, every night a restless dead Tried to buy my way to peace with half-truths, vows and second tries But the balance followed me, same shadows in a new disguise

I wore the smile I couldn’t keep, scrolled the dark to drown the noise Told myself that I was fine, the mirror never bought the poise Even kindness felt like math, given up to tip the scale But the interest of my heart was steep, I knew the center failed

And if I’m honest, I was waiting for the knock upon the door The audit of my soul, the sun I couldn’t cover anymore Daylight broke across my name, written in light, not in my life

Paid in full across the page The dead erased before my eyes Not because I fixed myself Not because I got it right Love took the cost I couldn’t pay

And wrote my story bright I knew the terms if I stand alone The verdict has to fall Every charge would read my life

Every word would tell it all But in the place I should have stood I heard a different sound I gather on an empty dock and mercy all around

Justice didn’t disappear, it landed where the nails had been My darkness met a brighter truth, the sentence fell on him The daylight broke across my name, written in light, not in my lies Paid in full across the page, the dead erased before my eyes

Not because I fixed myself, not because I got it right Love took the cost I couldn’t pay And wrote my story bright Judges spoken, verdict just death

And judgment all made plain But grace abounded, unexpected Where I was guilty, you took my blame Where I was empty, you gave your name

Where I was dying, you broke the knife And signed the record with your light Daylight broke across my name Written in light, not in my light

Paid in full across the page The dead erased before my eyes Not because I fixed myself Not because I got it right Love took the cost I couldn’t pay

Wrote my story bright Written in life Over my name I’m finally free

    Tonight

  • Blue light on my ceiling Midnight in my hands Thumb keeps finding nothing on a thousand borrowed plans Every window open, every promise out of reach

I’m drowning in a crowd and starving for a speech I trade my peace for pings again My worth for little hearts Another reel of someone else

And I forget my part I’m going offline tonight Airplane on my restless mind Let the quiet hold the room

Let the mercy take its time

If there’s a voice that still can heal Let it find me in the night I’m closing all the glowing doors I’m going offline

Coffee gets me to the noon The noon slides into gray I’m tired of being everywhere And never finding a state

I’ve made a home of hurry, it’s a house that never sleeps I need a rest that isn’t bought, a promise I can keep If there’s a yoke that isn’t heavy, if there’s rest for aching bones I’m listening in the silence for a road that leads me home

I’m going offline tonight Airplane on my restless mind Let the quiet hold the room, let the mercy take its time

If there’s a voice that still can heal Let it find me in the night I’m closing all the glowing doors I’m going offline

The weight I carry isn’t light I try to lift it on my own But Jesus says come rest in me Lonely hearts can come back home

If you are gentle, if you’re near Then take this hurry, take this pride Teach my breathing how to pray And lay me down inside your life

I’m going offline tonight Airplane on my restless mind Let the quiet hold the room Let the mercy take its time Jesus, speak a softer word Let it find me in the night

I’m closing all the glowing doors I’m going offline Oh, oh, oh

  • I’ve been running down the back roads Chasing every fleeting sign Tried a hundred broken doorways Never found the peace of mind

Every promise like a postcard Fading colors, words decay Every turn just left me empty Till I heard you say

You are the way, the truth, the life The open road, the morning light When every map just let me blind I found my home in you tonight You are the way You are the way

Every burden I was holding Every secret I concealed Every question I kept asking Finally found a voice that’s real

Not a riddle, not a theory Not a hope I might outgrow But a name that breaks the silence In a hand that won’t let go

You are the way, the truth, the life The open road, the morning light When every map just let me blind I found my home in you tonight You are the way You are the way

When your voices draw near All the dead ends disappear From the shadows to the skies You are where my future lies

You are the way You are the way You are the way

You are the way You are the way You are the way

    Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh

  • I’ve been living in the middle of your promise in my pain Where the morning touches shadows that the evening brings again I can taste the future mercy in the salt of present tears Every comfort whispers softly, you are closer than you appear

And I’m counting all the miles between the now and all you’ve said There’s an anchor in my chest that’s pulling forward while I tread Already now, yeah, I’m held between your hands The pieces and the plans, the desert and the land

Already now, yeah, your future lights my steps

I’m walking by the word you’ve given More than what I’ve seen

I have buried little dreams And stood in slow, unfinished days But you’ve carved a better country That these feet have yet to trace

When the sorrow says forever, you remind me how it ends Every tear will have a purpose, every grave will open then So I hold to what is certain when the wind would make me down You began a good work in me, you will surely work it out

Already now, yeah I’m held between your hands The pieces and the plans The desert and the land

Already not yet Your future lights my steps

I’m walking by the word you’ve given More than what I’ve seen

You said the trumpet’s gonna sound On the sky we’ll split with the light The sleeping will awaken Our faith will turn aside

The Son of God returning You’ll set the broken right And those who ache with waiting Will step into the pride

So teach my heart to hold the line In between the here and home, to live the arty by grace, and no, I’m not alone. Already not yet. I’m held between Your hands, the pieces and the plans, the desert and the land.

Already not yet. Your promise lights my steps Jesus, keep me through the waiting To the day you say it’s me

  • I pulled up a chair in the quiet of my mind All my excuses couldn’t cover what I’d find I wore a thousand faces, but the mirror knew my name And still the door was open, still the welcome stayed the same

Cause every rule I couldn’t keep Every time I hit the wall I thought the table had no place for me at all But there’s an invitation

Come and eat, come and rest Where the hungry find their portion

Where the guilty find their blessing No one earns a place here But the door is open wide The Son of God has set it

And His mercy’s on the side I tried to buy forgiveness With a thousand little deeds But the check was always empty

Never covering my need Then I heard a quiet whisper It is finished, it is done And the seat of the cross was waiting

Already paid by someone Not a potluck I can offer Not a banquet I prepare It’s the table of a Savior

And He says I can be there There’s an invitation

Come and eat, come and rest Where the hungry find their portion

Where the weary learn they’re blessed

No one earns a place here But the door is open wide

The Son of God is setting And His mercy is on the side Bread that never perishes Wine that breaks the night

Grace that keeps on pouring Come and take the line There’s an invitation Come and eat, come and rest

Where the broken find their healing Where the weary find their blessed

No one earns a place here But the door is open wide

The Son of God has said it And His mercy is on the side Uh-uh-uh-uh. Uh-uh-uh.

  • Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh

Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh

Ooh Street lights on the freeway By silver ghost and falling rain All my little polaroids of promises and pain

I kept a room for sorrow with the curtains always drawn Then a whisper cut the night and said you’re almost home I’ve been tracing constellations on a map I couldn’t read But the darkness couldn’t keep the morning from its sea

Oh, at last, when all the shadows pass When every tear is gathered and the night forgets to last Oh, at last You’re more than every past

Jesus, when you call my name I’ll know I’ve come to rest Footsteps on the shoreline Every wave a borrowed breath

I was counting empty seconds Learning how to live with death And then the quiet said your mercy isn’t running out on me There’s a city on the water and its gates are never weak

I can feel the future leaning on the edges of my chest A promise like an anchor saying, child, be at rest

Home at last When all the shadows pass

When every tear is gathered and the night forgets to let Home at last You’re more than every past Jesus, when you call my name I’ll know I’ve come to rest

No more hunger, no more hiding No more graves to dress at dawn You will speak, the sky will open And the sleepers will move along Ooh

Home at last When all the shadows pass

When every wound is mended And the old world breathes its last Home at last Love’s stronger than the past

Jesus, when you take my hand I’ll know I’ve come to rest Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
