The messenger is coming Gm The Lord will purify D Gm He will refine the sons of Levi Cm He will expose the heart D7 Before the silence falls Gm God calls them to return They broke faith in marriage Cm They covered wrong with prayer D They wearied God with questions Gm Where is justice? Does He care? They robbed Him in their giving Cm They called service vain D They saw the proud prosper D7 D And wondered why obey? Why obey? D Why obey? D7 C D7 D But not all were careless. D7 Some still feared the Lord. D God heard their conversation and D7 A# Gm wrote their names before Him. Then comes the closing warning. Cm Remember Moses’ law.
