Haggai

Track 10

Haggai speaks to returned exiles They came back home but stopped the work The temple lay open The Lord’s house waited

But their own houses Looked just fine They said The time has not come

Interesting timing God’s house could wait But comfort could not Ceilings were finished

Priorities were not God told them Consider your ways You sow much

But harvest little You earn wages Then lose them fast Like money placed in a bag with holes

This is not ancient only We do the same, we build careers We build homes, we build platforms We build plans, then give God what time remains

Haggai is not about hating comfort, it is about ordering love. God is not honored by leftovers. Delayed obedience can sound reasonable Especially when we call it

Not the right season Then the people listens, irrevable listen Joshua listened The remnant feared the Lord

And God said, I am with you That was the turning point Not more excuses Not better timing

Obedience The later glory would be greater The nations would shake The desired one would come

Haggai points beyond stones and walls God was preparing Messiah’s house Haggai teaches clearly Check your priorities

Consider your ways Do not decorate your own ceiling While God’s work stays unfinished The Lord is patient

But he is not fooled Put first What belongs first Not leftovers

Not someday Not after comfort, consider your way
