Hosea’s marriage was the message God was the faithful husband Israel chased after other gods And called rebellion worship
This is covenant adultery Not just breaking rules Just when God’s people love false gods, they become blind and cruel. Their children’s names gave warnings, Jezreel, judgment in the land.
Lo-Ruhamah mercy held back, Lo-Ammi, not my people now. Israel still looked religious with priests and feasts and prayers But they trusted wealth and nations Assyria waited there Hosea’s marriage was the message God was the faithful husband
And Israel chased after other gods and called rebellion worship. This is covenant adultery, not just breaking rules. When God’s people love false gods, they become blind and cruel. Then Gomer fell so low that Hosea had to buy her back.
The guilty wife was redeemed, not because she earned the act. God was showing Israel, I will judge, but I restore. The ones called not my people will be called mine once more. Hosea’s marriage was the message.
